1/2 POUND & 1/2 STICK OF BUTTER
1 CUP BROWN SUGAR
2/3 CUP WHITE SUGAR
2 EGGS
1 1/2 TSP VANILLA
1 CUP OF NUTS
3 1/4 CUPS OF FLOUR
1 TSP BAKING POWDER
1/4 TSP BAKING SODA
1/4 TSP SALT

Directions:
Directions:
Sift all dry ingredients together. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Add milk. Mix well. Add nuts. Add sifted dry ingredients. Shape dough into rolls about 5 inches long. Put on a sheet of was paper and chill over night. Cut into thin slices about 1/8 inch thick. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375 for 5 - 8 minutes.
