1.2 POUND OF BUTTER
2 CUPS SUGAR
6 EGGS (SEPARATED)
3 CUPS FLOUR
3 TSPS. BAKING POWDER
1 CUP MILK
1 1/2 TSPS VANILLA

3 OZS BAKING CHOCOLATE
3 TEASPOONS SUGAR
1.4 CUP HOT WATER
1.2 TSP BAKING SODA

Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks one at a time. Mix Well. Add vanilla. Mix well. Add flour 1/4 cup at a time alternating with milk. Beat egg whites stiff. Fold into batter.
Mix melted chocolate with sugar, stir well. Add hot water, mix well. Add baking soda. Mix Well.
Divide batter into half. Add chocolate mixture to one half. Flour and grease tube pan. Add batter alternating between white and dark batters with large spoonfuls. Run knife through batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
