1 Devils Food Cake Mix with Pudding
2/3 Cup Crisco Shortening
2 Eggs
1/2 Tsp. Vanilla
Frosting:
1/2 Cup Margarine, softened
1 (8oz.) Pkg. Cream Cheese, softened
1 Tsp. Vanilla
1-1/2 Lb. Powdered Sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix everything together (batter will be stiff). Roll into walnut size balls. Bake at 350º for 8 to 10 minutes. Meanwhile mix together all frosting ingredients. When cookies are cooled spread frosting between two cookies. Note: I cook at a lower temperature and bring them out of the oven early so they are soft.

When I am in a hurry, I skip the frosting and put a thin mint patty inbetween the two cookies. I've recieved incredible compliments when it is done this way.
