1 c. shortening
2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1/2 c. hot water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. ground raisins
1 c. chopped nuts
enough flour to make a soft dough (a good 4 c.)

No instructions with this recipe. I'd imagine it's a drop cookie. Bake in a 350º F oven for 8-10 minutes or until done.
