2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup shortening
1/2 salt
1 egg
1/4 cup water
1 Tbsp vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour with salt. Cut in shortening with two knives or pastry cutter. Blend in 1 beaten egg, water,and vinegar. Roll out for pie crust. Crimp edges. Prick bottom and sides for one crust pie. Bake at 350º for 12 minutes. Use pie receipe baking time for two crust pies. Crimp edges and cover edges with foil while baking For a crisper more flavorful top crust, brush on whipped egg, avoiding crimp on edges, or brush on milk and sprinkle with sugar.
