1/2 c. cream
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
2 egg whites
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. baking powder
flour (about 2 cups)
3 c. dry cottage cheese
onion, chopped
pepper to taste
bread cubes or cracker crumbs
butter or lard

Filling:
Mix together the dry cottage cheese, 2 egg yolks, salt and pepper to taste and chopped onion to taste.

Dough:
Mix together cream, milk salt, 2 egg whites,baking powder and enough flour to make a stiff dough.

Roll out the dough and cut into squares. Place a rounded tsp. of the cheese mixture on each square and fold into a triangle. Seal by using a small plate to go around the triangles.

Boil in salted water until soft and drain.

Brown the bread cubes or cracker crumbs in butter or lard and pour over the top of the cheese buttons.

These can be frozen on a cookie sheet and then stored in a freezer bag for later use.
