2 c. oatmeal
2 c. brown sugar
2 c. white sugar
1 c. Crisco Oil or other
4 beaten eggs
2 2/3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 sticks margarine
3 tbsp canned milk
1 1/2 c. brown sugar

Pour 3 c. hot water over 2 c. of oatmeal, let stand until cool. Mix 2 cups of brown sugar, 2 c. of white sugar, 1 c. Crisco Oil and 4 beaten eggs. Add 2 and 2/3 c. of flour 2 tsp. baking soda, 2 tsp. cinnamon and 1 tsp. salt. Add oatmeal mixture. Do not grease pans. Bake well, bake 30 min. or a little longer at 350 degrees. Batter will be very thin but that is OK. 1/2 of this recipe fits a 10x13x2 pan. The topping is 1 1/2 sticks margarine, 3 tbls canned milk and 1 1/2 c. brown sugar. Boil one min. Add 1 c. of coconut and 1 c. of pecan pieces. Spread over cake and brown under broiler. Browns in about one minute.
