1 cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup granulated sugar
Pinch of salt
¼ lb butter
1 egg yolk
½ tsp almond extract
¼ cup blanched almonds (optional)


Directions:
Directions:

Bring butter to room temperature. Mix all ingredients, then turn dough onto lightly floured board and gently work into ball.
Divide dough into 12 equal parts and place in forms. Using thumbs, even out into forms. Do not extend dough above forms, as it will break.
Bake at 400 degrees until lightly browned.
