2007 Minnesota Aharts' Cookbook

3 cups powdered sugar
7 oz jar of marshmallow creme
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon almond extract

Caramel Coating:

14 oz caramels
3 Tablespoons water
2 cups chopped salted nuts

1. Mix center ingredients, kneading until smooth. it may seem very dry.
2. Shape into 8 logs. Roll logs in wax paper. Freeze for 2 hours.
3. Melt caramels with water and beat well.
4. Roll center logs in caramel and then into chopped nuts.
5. Store in an airtight plastic container lined with wax paper. Keep refrigerated.

Keeps 2-4 weeks
