Stuffed Pepper Casserole Recipe

1 lb. ground beef (I used 1/2 sausage)
2 T. chopped onion
1/3 c. chopped green bell pepper
1 c cooked rice
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp garlic salt
2 8 oz. cans tomato sauce
3 med green bell peppers - seeded, diced lengthwise
1/2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat, onion, and chopped peppers in skillet, stirring occasionally.
Drain off fat.
Stir in rice , salt, garlic salt, and 1 can of tomato sauce; heat through
Spray 9 x 13 pan with cooling spray and line with sliced peppers.
Pour half of the meat mixture over peppers.
Layer remaining sliced peppers on top of the meat mixture.
Pour remaining meat mixture on top.
Pour remaining tomato sauce over meat mixture.
Cover with foil and bake in a 350º oven for 45 min.
Uncover and bake an additional 10 min.
Sprinkle with cheese and bake an additional 5 min.
