3 egg whites
1/4 t cream of tartar
1/2 t vanilla
6 T sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Beat 3 egg whites with cream of tartar and add vanilla. Beat until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form and all sugar is dissolved.

Spread on top of cool pie mixture to pastry edge. Bake in moderate oven 350 about 12-15 minutes or until golden.
