First Set of Ingredients:
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Second Set:
2 sticks of butter
1 c. water
4 T. cocoa

Icing Ingredients:

1 stick butter
6 T. milk
4 T cocoa
1 box powdered sugar, sifted
1 tsp .vanilla

Directions:

First Set:
Mix into a bowl. No need to sift or use mixer.
Second Set:
Bring to boil and add to the first set of ingredients.
Cream well.
Bake on a jelly roll pan at 350º for about 20 minutes.

Icing:
Boil butter, milk and cocoa for one minute.
Add the powdered sugar and vanilla. Stir until smooth and ice cake while hot.

I sometimes add a tsp of cinnamon to the cake ingredients for a little different taste.
