1 -32 oz pkg hash browns
1/2 c + 2 T butter
1 can cream of chicken soup
1pt sour cream
1/2 c milk
1/2 c chopped green onions
2 c grated cheese
1 c crushed cornflakes

Melt butter in 9 x 12 baking dish. Add 1/2 hash browns. Mix soup, sour cream, milk, onions -- Pour1/2 over hash browns in dish. Sprinkle 1/2 of the cheese on top. Repeat with remaining ingredients.

Rather that making 2 layers, you can make 1 layer.

Put 2 T melted butter on top of crushed cornflakes.

Bake 350 45 min
