3 cups pecan or walnut halves
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup water
3 tsp.cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 275. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spra;y. Spread pecans on sprayed cookie sheet. Bake at 275 for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, in medium saucepan,combine all remaining ingredients except vanilla; mix well. Bring to a boil. Cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove saucepan from heat. Add vanilla and pecans; mix well. Spoon pecans onto foil or p[parchment paper. Separate wit fork. Cool 30 minutes. Store in tightly covered container in cool, dry place.
