Toffee-Nut Bars Recipe

CRUST:
1/2 c. softened butter or margarine
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. flour
TOFFEE LAYER:
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shredded coconut
1 c. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the crust ingredients together thoroughly and press in to the bottom of a 9x13 inch cake pan (lightly sprayed with non-stick spray). Bake for 10 minutes at 350º. While the crust is baking, combine the ingredients for the toffee layer.
When crust comes out of the oven, top with the toffee layer and return to the oven to bake an additional 25 minutes at 350º or until topping is golden brown. (Do not over bake or bars will be tough.) Cool slightly before cutting into bars.
