3 tablespoons light corn syrup
3 tablespoons water

3 3/4 cups flour, unsifted
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
3 cups chocolate chips, semi-sweet

In a separate bowl cream the margarine and butter flavored shortening.
