1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 cups flour
1/4 tsp. salt

cream: sugars, butter and peanut butter
beat in egg
stir in remaining ingredients
Shape dough into balls, place on parchment paper lined baking sheet or lightly greased baking sheet.
dip a fork into granular sugar and score and flatten tops of each cookie.
Bake 350º about 12 min (less time for chewey cookies) cool on wire rack
makes about 2 doz depending on size

You can cover and refrigerate cookie dough after they are made, will keep cover with a tight fitting lid about 2 weeks. Use either smooth or crunchy peanutbutter.
