1/4 cup crisco oil
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1 cup dates, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Mix oil and brown sugar.
Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.

Sift dry ingredients; add to egg mixture.

Stir in nuts and dates

Put into oiled 8x8x2-inch pan.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.

Let cool the cut into bars and roll into powdered sugar.

Store bar cookies in a container with a tight-fitting cover.
