2 sticks softened butter
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 egg yolks
2 3/4 c. plain flour
6 tbsp cocoa
1/4 tsp salt
1 c. buttermilk
5 tbsp liquid coffee
4 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Add vanilla. Add beaten egg yolks. Add dry ingredients alternately with liquids. Fold in beaten egg whites. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake for approx. 1 hour and 20 min. or until toothpick inserted in middle of cake comes out clean.
