Cookie Bottom
2 c sifted flour
1/2 c sift 4X sugar
1 c butter (no substitutes)

Lemon Top
4 beaten eggs
2 c sugar
1/3 c lemon juice
1/4 c flour
1/2 t baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Bottom: Sift together 2 cups flour and confectioners sugar. Cut in butter until mixture clings together. Press in 13x9x2 baking pan. Bake in 350º oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned.

Top: Beat together eggs granulated sugar and lemon juice. Sift together the 1/4 cup flour and baking powder. Stir into egg mixture. Pour over baked cookie. Bake in oven for additional 25 minutes. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar. Cool in pan completely before cutting into squares or bars.
