2 sticks plus 2 teaspoons unsalted butter, room temperature
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons strong brewed coffee
1 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3 1/2 cups flour
3 cups chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º in convection mode, if you have it. In a
work bowl of a mixer, cream the butter with the sugars until
smooth. One at a time, add the eggs, scraping down the bowl
between the two. Add the vanilla and coffee and continue to
mix on medium high speed until the batter is light and fluffy.
Sift together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder and
salt and add to the bowl with the mixer stopped. Add the
chocolate chips and mix on low speed for 10 seconds.
Scrape down the side of the bowl with a rubber spatula and
mix again until just combined.

Line 3 baking sheets with parchment paper. Scoop out large
cookies, 12 to a pan. Bake until done, about 15 minutes.
