1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugars and eggs. Stir in milk and vanilla; sift flour, soda and salt. Mix together sugar mixture and flour mixture and add nuts. Chill 1 hour; drop by T. onto greased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 min. @ 375. 1 c. chocolate chips may be used instead of nuts. Frost and dip in nuts or coconuts.
