Directions:
Directions:
brownie layer: mix 1 cup sugar and 2 eggs. melt a stick butter and 2 squares of unsweetened chocolate. combine the above. add 1/2 cup flour. mix well. add 1/2 cup nut (optional) 1/2 tsp vanilla
Bake at 350 degrees until done in a sprayed 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 pan.

Topping: first layer...mix together 1 cup confectioners sugar and 2 T softened butter ..add 1 Tablespoon milk...until spreadable.
Put ontop of cooled brownies with spoon back.
Frosting: 2nd layer Melt 1 square unsweeted chocolate and 1 Tablespoon butter. mix well. Pour on top of 1st mixture when it is cooled, tilt pan to spead and put in fridge.
Hints: I sometimes use a bit more butter and choc for the topping.
Also, I find it melts better when I put in on defrost in the microwave...that way it doesn't over heat.
