5 egg whites
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. vinegar

Directions:
Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Add 1 c. sugar gradually. Mix baking powder with last 1/2 c. sugar. Add to egg white mixture. Then add vanilla and vinegar. Bake in slow oven, about 250º, on a sugar sheet about 1 hour. Makes about 16.
