1/2 c. butter (softened)
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 to 11/4 c. flour
Filling
1- 3 oz. pkg. cream cheese (softened)
1 c. powdered sugar
2 tbls. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. flaked coconut
Frosting
1/2 c. semisweet chocolate chips
2 tbls. butter
2 tbls. water
1/2 c. powdered sugar

1. Heat oven to 350º. In a large bowl, beat 1/2 c. butter, 1/2 c. powdered sugar, the salt and 1 tsp. vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed, until blended. Gradually, beat in the 1-1/4 c. flour until dough forms.
2. Shape teaspoonfuls of dough into balls. On ungreased cookie sheets, place balls 2 inches apart. With thumb make indentations in center of each cookie.
3. Bake 12-15 min. or until lightly browned. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, beat cream cheese, 1 c. powdered sugar, 2 tbls. flour and 1 tsp. vanilla on medium speed until well blended. Stir in walnuts and coconut.
4. Immediatley remove cookies from cookie sheet to cooling racks. Spoon about 1 tsp. filling into each cookie. Cool completely.
5. In a 1 qt. saucepan, heat chocolate chips, 2 tbls. butter and the water over low heat until chips are melted. Remove from heat. With a spoon, beat in 1/2 c. powdered sugar until smooth. Frost cooled cookies. Store covered in refrigerator.
