2 c pecans
1 (8oz) pkg dates chopped
1 lb orange candy sliced and diced
1 pkg coconut
1 c butter

4 eggs
1 1/2 c sugar
2 c flour
1 t soda
1/2 c buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter and pour over chopped dates, pecans and candy, then put in coconut and let stand while you mix other ingredients

Mix eggs, sugar, flour, soda and buttermilk seperately, then combine with other mixture. Bake in greased and floured angel food pan (or other pan) at 300 for 2 hours.

This was Grandma O'Farrell's recipe. Mom wrote "Mother's recipe 1960's" and also,
"if using small pan only fill pans half full or will boil over"
