1 c rolled oats
1 c hot water
1/2 c butter or oleo
1 c brown sugar firmly packed
1/2 c granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 c flour
1 t each of cinnamon and soda
1/2 t each of baking pwdr and salt
1/2 t ground cloves
1/2 c mashed ripe bananas
1/2 c each chopped nuts and dates

Directions:
Directions:
Put rolled oats in bowl; pour in hot water; stir and cool for 30 minutes. Cream butter with sugars, blend in eggs; beat until smooth. Sift flour, measure, sift again with cinnamon, soda, baking powder, salt, and cloves; slowly add to creamed mixture, mixing after each addition. Mix in banana. Blend in oats, nuts and dates. Pour into a greased pan 9x13. Bake in 350 oven for 30 minutes. Cool.
