"When I'm at a Chinese restaurant having a hard time with chopsticks, I always hope that there's a Chinese kid at an American restaurant somewhere who's struggling mightily with a fork."--Rick Budinich
This recipe for Country Squire Cheese Spread, by Debbie Houston, is from The Thigpen Family Cookbook ,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
2 - 8 oz pkgs. Philadelphia Brand Cream Cheese 2 - 4 oz pkgs. Treasure Cave blue cheese 1 - 8 oz container Parkay whipped margarine
let all ingredients sit out overnight to soften. mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon. You're done! I usually line small, round, plastic containers with Saran Wrap, put in the spread, and cover with a lid. (the reason for the plastic wrap is so I can remove the spread and turn it upside down on a serving plate.) the spread can be frozen; just remove from freezer about an hour before you plan to serve it.
