1 c. butter or oleo
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. crushed potato chips
1/2 c. chopped pecans (hickory nuts would be good)
2 scant c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter, sugar & vanilla. Add crushed potato chips & nuts. Stir in flour. Form into small balls, about 1 T. of dough for each. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press balls flat with bottom of tumbler dipped in sugar. Bake in 350º oven for 16-17 minutes or until cookies are lightly browned.

Post script from Grandma "I crush the potato chips between 2 sheets of waxed paper with rolling pin real fine. Then if you don't add that much flour - you can make little mounds of about 1 tsp. of dough- which is easier than rolling into balls. I have been experimenting".
