2 1/2 c. water,
1 c. uncooked rice,
1 onion,
1/4 c. butter,
2 c. sour cream,
1 c cream-style cottage cheese,
1 crushed bay leaf,
3 small cans chopped green chilies,
2 c. sharp cheddar cheese,
4 c. cooked rice,
1 tsp. salt,
1 tsp. pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Bring water to boiling. Add rice, cover and simmer for approximately 25 minutes.

Saute onion in 1/4 cup of butter until golden brown. Pour in cooked rice, sour cream, cottage cheese, salt, pepper, and bay leaf. Mix well.

Lightly grease 9"x13" baking dish and pour in half of rice mixture. Then, layer half green chilies over it and half cheddar cheese. Repeat layers.

Place in preheated 375º oven for approximately 25 minutes or until hot.
