2 lbs. ground chuck
1 c. softened bread crumbs
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 T. mayonnaise
1 t. garlic salt
1 t. Italian seasoning
1/4 t. black pepper
1 1/2 c. grated mozzarella cheese
20 small square roll, heated and split
1000 Island salad dressing

Preheat oven to 350. Combine ground chuck, bread crumbs, onion, egg, mayonnaise, garlic salt, Italian seasoning, and black pepper. Press meat mixture into rectangular baking dish. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Drain grease. Top with grated cheese. Bake an additional 5 to 8 minutes, until cheese is melted. Remove from oven and allow to sit 5 minutes. Cut meat into 20 squares. spread 1000 Island dressing onto one side of split roll. Place meat square into roll.
