1 C. butter, softened
1/2 C. sugar
2 1/4 C. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
You will need a cookie press for this recipe.
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º
Cream butter and sugar. Blend in remaining ingredients.
Fill cookie press with 1/4 of dough at a time. Form desired shapes on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 6-9 minutes on middle rack of oven. Do not let the cookies brown.

I keep the dough in the refrigerator and remove only what I need at a time. The dough seems to form much nicer shapes this way.
