1/2 c. butter (room temp)
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 large egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. + 2 T. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350
Beat the butter and both sugars in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Add the egg, and vanilla and mix well. Mix flour, salt and baking soda in another bowl. Add the wet ingredients to the batter and mix until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts. Drop by small scoops 2-3 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten each scoop with the back of a spoon to about 3 in. in diamter.Bake until centers are still slightly soft to the touch. 11-14 minutes
