Whole chicken; cut apart, skin intact,
Melted butter,
Salt and pepper,
Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Pour 1/4 inch oil (from lard or bacon grease) in frying pan.
Salt and pepper chicken pieces.
Put each piece in melted butter, then roll around in dish of flour, and then place into frying pan.
Once chicken has a nice golden brown to it, take chicken out of frying pan and place in roaster. Pour a little cream over pan of chicken and place in oven. Bake chicken for at least an hour at 350º.

The cream will help make a nice gravy.
