4 cups flour
1 teas baking powder
1/4 teas soda
1 teas salt
1-1/3 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1-1/2 teas vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugars, add eggs and vanilla. Sift in dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Shape into rolls and wrap in waxed paper. Chill. Cut into thin slices and place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400º for 5 to 8 minutes.
