Mandarin Orange Salad Recipe

1 teaspoon salt
dash of pepper
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons vinegar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
dash of red pepper sauce
1 tablespoon parsley flakes
For almond mixture:
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon sugar
Salad fixings:
1 head spinach
1/4 head romaine
1 cup chopped celery
2 green onions
1 small can mandarin oranges, drained

Mix together first 7 ingredients and refrigerate. Cook together
almond mixture stirring constantly until sugar has melted and
nuts are coated. Mix the remaining ingredients and toss.
