6 tbsp. butter
1 shallot, minced
1 c. heavy cream, half-and-half or whole milk
1 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
1/4 tsp. black pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add shallots and saute until tender. Add cream/half-and-half/milk and bring to a boil. Cook continuously until sauce has reduced slightly, approximately 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

Pour over prepared pasta and/or chicken.
