Ingredients:  
2-3 small heads of Romaine lettuce, rinsed, dried, and coarsely shredded
8-10 stalks of celery, cut diagonally crosswise into thin pieces
scant cup of walnuts, coarsely chopped and lightly toasted
scant 1/2 cup of grated or shredded Parmesan cheese
Red wine vinegar salad dressing- no substituting, use one of the better brands

-Place the shredded Romaine leaves on salad plate

-Arrange celery on top

-Than walnut pieces

-At the table, pass the red wine vinegar salad dressing and than the cheese to spoon on top

This is an excellent salad for a first course or in the winter when tomatoes and cucumbers are tasteless.
