2 lbs beef stew meat, cut into 1-in cubes
2 cup red wine (preference Burgandy)
2 cans beef consomme (undiluted)
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
dash of garlic power
2 onions, sliced
1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1/2 cup flour

-Mix beef, wine, consomme, seasonings and onion in a large ovenproof casserole

-Blend bread crumbs and flour and stir into mixture

-Cover and bake at 325º for 3 hours

-Serve over hot cooked medium or wide noodles
