1 cup granulated sugar
1 stick of butter
1 stick of margarine
1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Melt butter and margarine over low heat stirring constantly
while melting. Add sugar and most of almonds. Turn to high
heat and stir to keep from burning. Cook until light brown or
toffee colored. Remove from heat and pour onto ungreased
cookie sheet. Spread with wooden spoon until real thin.
Shake chocolate chips over toffee. When melted spread with
knife and sprinkle with remaining almonds. Twist cookie
sheet to break up.
