Ingredients:  
1 23oz can yams drained and mashed
3/4 c crisco
1 c sugar
2 c flour, self-rising (put 1/2 c aside for rolling)

Directions:
Directions:
Mash potatoes, add shortening and sugar. Mix weel, add flour and make dough. Roll and cut with biscuit cutter. Bake at 450 for 20mins. Butter while hot. Serve !!
