1 large can tomato puree
1 med can of tomatoes
1 sm can of tomato paste
2 small cans of water
1 lb of ground beef
1/2 lb of italian sausage - out of casing
1 onion
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp salt

2 c ricotta cheese
1/2 c grated parmesan cheese
1 tsp parsley
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp oregano
1 pkg. lasagne noodles -- cooked and drained
1/2 mozzerella cheese
1/2 c grated parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground beef and sausage with onion in 2 tbsp of oil, add tomato puree, tomatoes, paste and 2 cans of water. Add salt and sugar, simmer about 1 1/2hrs.

Mix ricotta cheese, 1/2 c parmesan cheese, parsley salt and oregano. Reserve 1/2 cup meat sauce for thin top layer.

In ungreased baking pan 13x9x2 layer 1/4 each o noodles, meat sauce, mozzerella cheese and ricotta chesse mixture. repeat 3x's Spread reserved meat sauce over top, sprinkle with 1/2 cup parmesan cheese. Bake uncovered 45 mins. Let stand 15 mins before cutting.
