3 tsp. baking powder
2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. Wesson oil
7 egg yolks
3/4 c. cold water
1 Tbsp. Almond flavor
7 egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
berries, ice cream or frosting

In first bowl sift together: baking powder, flour, sugar and salt. Make a well in center of mix and add the Wesson oil, egg yolks, cold water and almond flavoring. Mix into a batter.
In second bowl beat egg whites with cream of tartar. Beat until very stiff. Gently fold into the first batter. Pour into a 10 inch ungreased chiffon pan. Bake until top springs back when touched. Turn upside down on top of a bottle until cold. Turn over and loosen sides, then turn over and rap on pan sharply to loosen. Serve with berries of your choice, ice cream or frosting.
