Combine:
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 stalks celery, chopped
1/2 medium green pepper, chopped
Saute in 1/2 pound of butter until fork tender.
Stirring constantly over low heat, add to above:
1 cup flour and 1 teaspoon dry mustard until you have smooth
roux
Add:
4 cups chicken broth, gradually
Blend in:
1 3/4 cup half and half
1 16oz. jar cheese whiz
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
6 oz. beer
2 teaspoon minced parsley
1/4 cup fresh chives
1 small jar chopped pimento, drained

Simmer about 15 minutes or until heated through. Serve the soup with popcorn on top.
