3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
1/4 t. salt
2 c. milk
3 egg yolks, beaten (reserve whites for meringue)
2 T. butter
1 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 4 ingredients in sauce pan over medium heat, stirring constantly, till bubbly. Stir 2 more minutes over heat. Stir small amount of cream mixture into yolks. Return egg mixture to cream mixture. Add butter and vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell. Top with meringue and bake at 350 12 to 15 minutes.

Meringue: Beat 3 egg whites with mixer. Add 1/3 c. sugar, 1/4 t. cream of tartar and 1 t. vanilla.

Banana Cream Pie: slice 2 bananas into cream mixture.

Coconut Cream Pie: add 1 cup shredded coconut into cream mixture.

Chololate Cream Pie: increase sugar to 1 cup an add 1 oz. square chocolate, chopped, to cream mixture from start.
