Chocolate Drop Cookies Recipe

1/2 c. shortening
1 t. vanilla
2/3 c. brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
2 oz. baking chocolate, melted
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 t. soda
3/4 t. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Cream together first three ingredients. Mix in egg. Mix in chocolate. Sift in dry ingredients. Mix in milk and nuts.

Drop spoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake 350 for approximately 10 minutes.

If desired, with chocolate frosting. (recipe in dessert section)
