1 cup soft butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup of chopped pecans
2 1/4 cup flour
pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar well. Add vanilla, salt and nuts. Add
flour and 1 tablespoon water. Mix well with hands and chill. Put a
little dough around a half of date with a nut. Bake on ungreased
cookie sheet in a 350º oven until a light brown about 10-15
minutes. Cool and
roll in powdered sugar or colored sugar.
