Fresh Strawberry Pie Recipe

1 cooled 9”baked pie shell
1 package cream cheese
1 quart of strawberries
1 cup of sugar
1 tbsp corn starch
1 cup whipped cream

Soften cream cheese and then spread on the pie shell
Place half of the strawberries in the pie shell
Mash the remaining berries until juice is well extracted
Bring juice to boiling point and slowly stir in sugar and corn starch
Cook slowly for about 10 minutes-cool
Pour over uncooked berries in pie shell
Place in the refrigerator until very cold
Cover with whipped cream right before serving
