6 slices bread, butter or margarine
1 lb. gnd. pork sausage
1 1/2 cups (6 oz. shredded) Longhorn cheese
6 large eggs, lightly beaten
2 c. half & half cream, 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Spread butter over 1 side of each slice of bread. Place bread slices buttered side up, in bottom of a lightly greased 13"x9"x2" baking dish. Set aside.
Brown sausage in a large skillet, stirring until it crumbles; drain. Spoon sausage over bread; sprinkle with cheese. Combine eggs, half & half cream and salt; pour over cheese. Cover and chill 8 hours or overnight.
Remove from refrigerator; let stand, covered 15 minutes. Uncover and bake at 350º for 45 minutes or until golden .
