4 Tart apples peeled and sliced
3 T. butter
1/4 tsp. mace or cinnamon
1/2 cup minute tapioca
1 c. light brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. boiling water
2 T. lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Arrange apples in a buttered shallow baking dish. Dot with butter and sprinkle with mace or cinnamon. Combine tapioca, sugar, salt, boiling water and lemon juice in pan and mix well. Bring mixture quickly to full boil stir constantly. Pour over apples. Cover and bake about 35 minutes in a moderate oven. Serve warm or cold with cream. `
